Join us to leaning how to make a loom and creating your first weave. Textiles is a very versatile craft and woven wall hangings are alot of fun too make and every one is unique.
During the workshop you will learning how to string your own frame loom (which you can then take home with you along with instructions for how to make more), then you will learn the different stitches and how to plan your projects. With plenty of inspiration to look at you will spend the remainder of the class weaving and dreaming up your next projects. Your finished wall hanging will be approx 25 - 30 cms long.
All materials are included, however if you have some yarn, theads, materials you would like to experiment with please feel free to bring them along.
Suitable for beginners, all materials included and a cupcake for everyone. If you have any special dietry requirements please feel free to bring a snack along with you.
As this workshop runs over lunch time, please bring along a sandwhich to refuel during a 30 minute break.

Frame Loom Weaving Workshop
Location: Lightwater, Surrey GU18 5UZ
Time: 9:30am - approx. 15:00pm
Arrival: We advise you aim to arrive at Folly Lodge 15 minutes before the start time of your class to allow time to find parking. We have space for approx 4/5 cars at Folly Lodge, once these are full there is parking in the layby outside or alternatively on the road opposite, Lightwater Road, there is on street parking and you can walk over to Folly Lodge. Sara, will be there to meet everyone and take them down to the studio 10 minutes before the class start time.
Equipment: The kettle will be on, cakes will be on the cake stand and all materials and equipment are provided. As this workshop runs over lunch time, please bring along a sandwhich to refuel during a 30 minute break.
