Think sewing machines are just for stitching in straight lines and following patters...think again! Let our tutor Lucy guide you and your sewing machine through a new creative journey and discovery at one of Freehand Machine Sewing Workshops.

Suitable for those with a basic knowledge of a sewing machine and interested in learning how to use it to create wonderful drawings, doodles and sketches. You will be shown how to setup your machine, what types of fabric to use and the techniques involved to get you started.

Once you’ve mastered the basics there will be an opportunity to create an applique design, using templates and fabrics provided. You’ll be able to take your finished piece home to frame or if you prefer even use it to decorate a cushion or a bag perhaps.
